Warehouse & Storage Matting
Many fabrication and engineering sites also have warehouse and storage areas. Warehouse matting covers those zones — entrance matting to trap dirt and moisture, anti-fatigue at packing points and anti-slip on walkways.
This is a supporting range. For welding, grinding and cutting areas, see our hot works and fire-resistant matting, which are built for sparks and heat.

Zoned approach
Matting matched to each warehouse and storage zone.
Dirt & moisture control
Entrance matting to keep floors cleaner and safer.
Standing comfort
Anti-fatigue options for packing and picking points.
Supports the site
Covers storage areas alongside the hot work zones.
Matting by warehouse zone
- Entrances: trap dirt, dust and moisture from feet and wheels.
- Packing & picking: anti-fatigue matting for staff who stand.
- Walkways: anti-slip or rubber matting for safe routes.
- Loading bays: hard-wearing protection for busy transfer points.
Where hot works matting takes over
Standard warehouse matting is not made for sparks and heat. Where any welding, grinding or cutting happens — even occasional maintenance — switch to fire-resistant or welding-specific matting designed for hot work.
Wheeled traffic
Some heavy-duty matting tolerates wheeled traffic, but many mats are not intended for forklift use and can shift or wear. Identify where wheeled traffic crosses and choose accordingly, or keep mats to pedestrian zones.
Warehouse & Storage Matting — questions
Honest answers specific to this matting type.
01What matting does a warehouse need?
It varies by zone: entrance matting to trap dirt and moisture, anti-fatigue at packing stations, and anti-slip on wet walkways. Where any hot work happens, switch to fire-resistant matting. Map your zones and we’ll suggest matting for each.
02Can warehouse matting be used for welding maintenance?
No — standard warehouse matting isn’t made for sparks and heat. For any welding, grinding or cutting, use fire-resistant or welding-specific matting designed for hot work, even for occasional maintenance.
03Will warehouse matting withstand forklifts?
Some heavy-duty matting tolerates wheeled traffic, but many mats are not intended for forklift use and can shift or wear. Identify where wheeled traffic crosses and choose accordingly, or keep mats to pedestrian zones.
